Anne Mie work around aspects of sustainability and recycle, reuse, reduce, and her work is very focused making projects that use materials that has been disregarded or work with things that one would normally disregard as they no longer have any value for people. Our society today is too focused on using and throwing away, both in our consumer life, but also in our relationships. The society today gives us the opportunity to see the greener grass on the other side, but Anne Mie thinks, that we need to focus on taking care, repairing and loving, and watering our own grass. This is an approach Anne Mie takes in her art work as well, when trying to cherish things and give them a new beautiful life and at the same time try to make people aware and reflective about those issues.
